About Yogyakarta

Jogjakarta is a province of the Republic Indonesia located in South of Java Island. Jogjakarta has 4 districts; Jogja as the capital province of Jogjakarta, Sleman located in north and east sides of Jogjakarta, Gunung Kidul and Bantul located in the south side of Jogjakarta, and Kulon Progo located in west side of Jogjakarta. Jogjakarta is recognized as a province of tourism with rich of cultures, beautiful beach, World Heritages such as Borobudur Temple, and the famous mountain in Indonesia Merapi Mountain and other interesting places to visit.

The exciting places that you can visit if you in Jogjakarta; the beautiful Sultan Palace's where its located near to shopping center Malioboro, or you could visit the historical Water Palace; a place where princesses of Kraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat took their royal baths. You could also visit the Borobudur and Prambanan Temple, a Buddha temple and Hindu Temple that are renowned internationally. Jogja also has amazing white-sand beaches, it's secluded yet

SULTAN PALACE (Kraton)

Keraton Kasultanan Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat or now better known by the name of Yogyakarta Palace is the center of Javanese culture living museum that is in the Special Region Yogykarta (Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta). Not just becomes the place to live for the king and his family, the palace is also a main direction of cultural development of Java, as well as the flame guard of the culture.




TEMPLES

Borobudur
Borobudur is the biggest Buddhist temple in the ninth century measuring 123 x 123 meters. It was completed centuries before Angkor Wat in Kamboja.
